Softball Recap: Hatton Comes Up Short

Hatton was the 5-2 winner over Lawrence County when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Hatton took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lawrence County on Monday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hatton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyli Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Hatton's record now sits at 9-14-1. As for Lawrence County, they pushed their record up to 21-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coming up, Hatton will head out on the road to challenge Brooks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lawrence County, they will be playing at home against East Lawrence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
