Recap: Valley Rams vs. Tallassee Tigers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Valley Rams had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They breezed by the Tigers at home to the tune of 94-63. The victory was familiar territory for Valley who now have 12 in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 24 rebounds. Thomas hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for six straight games. Cam?ron Dooley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Tallassee still got an impressive performance from Rowen Thornton, who scored 26 points. Thornton continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Valley's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Tallassee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season.

Valley will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Selma at 5:30 p.m. Averaging 75.48 points so far this season, Valley's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Selma better be ready for a challenge. Tallassee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
