Basketball Recap: Gloucester County Christian Comes Up Short

Gloucester County Christian lost against Atlantic Christian back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gloucester County Christian Conquerors took a blow against the Atlantic Christian Cougars, falling 76-45. The Conquerors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.

Despite the loss, Gloucester County Christian still got an impressive performance from Colby James, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. James has become a key player for Gloucester County Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 20 points, but 7-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Colton Bradway, who posted seven points.

Atlantic Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Stokes, who shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten boards. Thanks to that strong game, Stokes now owns an excellent 40.2% three-point shooting accuracy. Judah Dawkins was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Gloucester County Christian's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Atlantic Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.
