Baseball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford lost against Brighton on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell 4-1 to the Bulldogs. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oxford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Bennion, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10-1. As for Brighton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Oxford will venture away from home to face off against Lake Orion at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brighton, they will welcome Canton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
