Recap: Kathleen Red Devils vs. Tampa Catholic Crusaders
On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kathleen beat Tampa Catholic 46-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kathleen.
Dariasia Pitts was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Kathleen's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Gause, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
The win got Kathleen back to even at 4-4. As for Tampa Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Kathleen will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Region at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Lake Region is ranked 157th, while Kathleen is ranked 173rd). As for Tampa Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Academy of the Holy Names at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Academy of the Holy Names focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
