North Harrison came out on top against Providence on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Cougars walked away with a 7-2 win over the Pioneers. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Alivia Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Coming up, North Harrison will square off against Bullitt East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 3.5, the Chargers 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Providence, they will take on West Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
