Volleyball Recap: Atascadero Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Atascadero lost against Fresno Christian back in August of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. While the Greyhounds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-15 in the first set.

Atascadero actually scored more points across those three sets (60-56), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 15-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Ezri Karp paced Atascadero's offense, picking up eight kills. Karp got some help from Cara Howes and her 13 assists. Karp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Atascadero's defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6. As for Fresno Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-16.

Atascadero has already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Hoover on the 27th. As for Fresno Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Paso Robles on the 27th.
