Baseball Recap: Clarksville Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Clarksville Academy waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Upperman Bees. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since May 3, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Jalon Page, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Leonard, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Clarksville Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Upperman, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Clarksville Academy will welcome Rossview at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Upperman, they will challenge Oakland at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
