Soccer Recap: Ennis Takes a Loss

Ennis's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midlothian Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 594th, while the Panthers are ranked 278th).

Ennis' goal came courtesy of Diego Garza, who's now up to two this season.

Ennis has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-2 record this season. As for Midlothian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ennis duke it out with the Corsicana at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Corsicana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season. As for Midlothian, they will face off against Kaufman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian is facing Kaufman at the right time seeing as Kaufman is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
