Basketball Game Preview: Burkeville Mustangs vs. Hull-Daisetta Bobcats

The Burkeville Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats at 7:09 p.m. on Tuesday.

Burkeville came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Leggett by a score of 51-48 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Hull-Daisetta didn't have too much trouble with Chester on Friday as they won 48-30.

Hull-Daisetta has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points over those games. As for Burkeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-17.

Burkeville came up short against Hull-Daisetta in their previous meeting back in January, falling 55-42. Can Burkeville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
