Baseball Recap: Weldon Valley Comes Up Short

Weldon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-4 to the Caliche Buffaloes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 25-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Zander Braun made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Weldon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Caliche, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weldon Valley will head out to challenge Denver Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Caliche, they will venture away from home to take on Wiggins at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
