Basketball Game Preview: LEE Volunteers vs. Brandeis Broncos

LEE is 1-7 against Brandeis since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The LEE Volunteers will head out to take on the Brandeis Broncos at 11:30 a.m. LEE is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season.

LEE is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since November 21st last Friday. They fell just short of Clark by a score of 52-49. The Volunteers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

LEE might have lost, but man, Rosanelly Pastrano was a machine: she went 11 of 20 on her way to 28 points and five rebounds. That was a full 57.1% of LEE's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of AUDREY VILLARREAL, who had five points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Brandeis came up short against Johnson last Friday and fell 65-55. The loss continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

LEE's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Brandeis, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

LEE didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Brandeis in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 71-67 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Brandeis' Rian Forestier, who dropped a double-double on 44 points and 20 boards. Now that she won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for LEE to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
