Football Game Preview: Freeport Red Devils vs. Westbury Green Dragons

The Freeport Red Devils will head out on the road to take on the Westbury Green Dragons on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Freeport is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 42-23 victory over Herricks/Wheatley on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Devils considering their eight-point performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Westbury, as they earned their first away win of the season. Everything went their way against Hicksville on Saturday as they made off with a 27-6 victory. The Green Dragons haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Freeport's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Westbury, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Freeport didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Westbury when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 12-7 victory.
