Softball Recap: Greenwood Takes a Loss

Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Plainfield Quakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Woodmen of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Kinsley Clark was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Greenwood's record is now 6-19. As for Plainfield, their win was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Quakers beat Greenwood by a score of 13-0 on Wednesday.
