Football Game Preview: St. Joseph Regional Green Knights vs. St. Peter's Prep Marauders + How To Watch

The St. Joseph Regional Green Knights will head out to challenge the St. Peter's Prep Marauders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (St. Joseph Regional 6.5, St. Peter's Prep 12) so any points scored will be well earned.

St. Joseph Regional is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Jersey's top teams: Paramus Catholic, who was ranked 20th at the time (St. Joseph Regional was ranked fourth). The Green Knights walked away with a 20-7 victory over the Paladins last Friday. The win continues a trend for the Green Knights in their matchups with the Paladins: they've now won nine in a row.

St. Joseph Regional can attribute much of their success to Richard Rigoglioso, who rushed for 98 yards and one score.

While St. Peter's Prep didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They claimed a resounding 42-7 victory over Delbarton. The result was nothing new for the Marauders, who have now won three matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

St. Joseph Regional's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for St. Peter's Prep, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-0.

St. Joseph Regional beat St. Peter's Prep 20-7 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
