Basketball Recap: Sharyland Piles Up the Points Against Weslaco East

Sharyland won the last time they faced Weslaco East and things went their way on Saturday too. The Rattlers blew past the Wildcats, posting a 67-31 win. The Rattlers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Ebonie Chatman had another great game (as she tends to do), shooting 4-for-6 from long range and almost dropping a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Alivia Ames, who made all 6 shots she took to post 12 points.

Sharyland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34 points. As for Weslaco East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Sharyland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-42 victory against Harlingen South on the 22nd. As for Weslaco East, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pace at 7:30 p.m. on December 9.
