Basketball Recap: Southland Academy Takes a Loss

Southland Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 74-50 to the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 44-43.

Southland Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southland Academy will challenge Southwest Georgia Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Georgia Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Southland Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Sherwood Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Georgia Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
