The Academy for Academic Excellence Knights suffered their biggest loss since November 27, 2023 on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Sultana, falling 86-38. Academy for Academic Excellence has not had much luck with Sultana recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Sultana's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jesse Feinstein, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Feinstein has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Leland Price, who scored 17 points along with five assists and two steals.
Academy for Academic Excellence has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Sultana, their win bumped their record up to 6-17.
Academy for Academic Excellence will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. As for Sultana, Sultana and Oak Hills will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Oak Hills' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 17 games.
