Soccer Game Preview: Calvin Christian vs. Fruitport

Calvin Christian hasn't had much luck against Fruitport recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Squires are taking a road trip to face off against the Trojans at 6:45 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Calvin Christian comes in on seven and Fruitport on six.

Calvin Christian proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past NorthPointe Christian 2-1.

Meanwhile, Fruitport kept a clean sheet against Godwin Heights on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wolverines. Give Fruitport's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Calvin Christian's victory bumped their record up to 17-3-2. As for Fruitport, their win bumped their record up to 13-1-3.

Calvin Christian suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Fruitport in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Squires avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
