Basketball Recap: North Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Central walked away with it. They came out on top against the Warren Central Warriors by a score of 47-38 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-29 last Friday.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Denaijah Jacobs, who posted eight points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Acelynn Durham, who put up two points and five rebounds.

The win (which was North Central's third in a row) raised their record to 6-16. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Warren Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Coming up, North Central will face off against Lawrence Central at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Lawrence Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully North Central likes a good challenge. Warren Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
