Basketball Recap: Provo's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Provo had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Hurricane Tigers 62-42. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won six contests in a row.

Provo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Makai Allen out in front who went 7-for-15 en route to 17 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Callen Tollestrup, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Provo was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2025.

Despite the loss, Hurricane still got an impressive performance from Brigham Kemp, who went 8-for-16 on his way to 24 points along with six boards and five steals. The matchup was Kemp's 26th in a row with at least 15 points. Clyde Berrett was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Provo's record now sits at 23-4. As for Hurricane, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-11 record.

As of now, neither Provo nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
