Franklin Community came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the New Prairie Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Grizzly Cubs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Rose Mahin paced Franklin Community's offense, picking up 15 kills. Mahin got some help from Karlin Burton and her 28 assists. Liona Mummert controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, New Prairie had strong showings from Josie Woodham, who had eight digs and two aces, and Faith Robbins, who had seven assists and three digs. Makenzie Griffiths also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Franklin Community's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for New Prairie, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Franklin Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Concord on the 23rd. As for New Prairie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against La Porte on the 23rd.
