Basketball Recap: Augusta Takes a Loss

Augusta lost against Eleva-Strum back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Augusta Beavers fell 68-55 to the Eleva-Strum Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Cardinals are ranked 109th).

Augusta's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Eleva-Strum, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Augusta will head out to square off against Blair-Taylor at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eleva-Strum, they will venture away from home to take on Osseo-Fairchild at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Eleva-Strum is facing Osseo-Fairchild at the right time seeing as Osseo-Fairchild is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
