Volleyball Game Preview: Battle Mountain Huskies vs. Steamboat Springs Sailors

The Battle Mountain Huskies are taking a road trip to take on the Steamboat Springs Sailors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Battle Mountain is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Saturday, Battle Mountain got the win against Rifle by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Battle Mountain was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-12.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Steamboat Springs' good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glenwood Springs.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 16-25, 25-15, 25-22.

Steamboat Springs' loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Battle Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 12-0.

Battle Mountain beat Steamboat Springs 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
