Winooski is 1-7 against Williamstown since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Winooski Spartans will be staying on the road to face off against the Williamstown Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Winooski scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 59-40 win over Milton. That looming 59-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Winooski yet this season.

Meanwhile, Williamstown earned a 63-53 win over Stowe on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Williamstown.

Williamstown's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Evan Bailey, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds, and Nick Mascitti, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. Mascitti continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Colby Laggner, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.

Winooski pushed their record up to 3-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Williamstown, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Winooski took a serious blow against Williamstown in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, falling 70-42. Can Winooski avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
