It was a good run, but Butler unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Adrian Blackhawks. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blackhawks earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

When it comes to explaining why Butler lost, don't look at Georgia Mccoun. Despite the final result, she had 22 digs and two assists. Mccoun has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Adrian was led to victory by Addyson Mizell and Daisey Fenton. Mizell had 19 digs and one assist, while Fenton had 11 digs. Those 19 digs gave Mizell a new career-high.

Butler's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 28-2-2. As for Adrian, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-6-1.

As of now, neither Butler nor the Blackhawks have any future games scheduled.
