Cannon has gone a perfect 10-0 against Charlotte Country Day School recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cougars will head out to face off against the Buccaneers at 4:30 p.m. Cannon will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
On Tuesday, Cannon got the win against Charlotte Christian by a conclusive 11-1. Considering the Cougars have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cannon let Jolie Matthews and Clark Hudson run wild. Matthews scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while Hudson went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one run. Those five RBI gave Hudson a new career-high. Carly Benz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
They weren't the only one making solid contact: Cannon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Country Day School lost 14-4 to Covenant Day on Tuesday. The Buccaneers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.
Charlotte Country Day School saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Coddington, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Molly Moran, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Cannon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Charlotte Country Day School, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cannon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Charlotte Country Day School struggles in that department as they've averaged .318. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Cannon's way against Charlotte Country Day School when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Cannon made off with a 19-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
