Softball Recap: Castleberry Comes Up Short

Castleberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the Godley Wildcats. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 18-6 to the Lions when the teams met back in February of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Madalynn Michaels was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Castleberry's loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Godley, they moved to 10-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Castleberry will square off against International Leadership of Texas Keller at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Castleberry is facing International Leadership of Texas Keller at the right time seeing as International Leadership of Texas Keller is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Godley, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lampasas on the 1st.
