Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Carroll Huskies vs. Glendale Vikings

The Bishop Carroll Huskies will square off against the Glendale Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Bishop Carroll and 12 for Glendale dating back to last season.

Bishop Carroll managed to slip by Penn Cambria the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Huskies came up short against the Panthers on Tuesday, falling 23-11. On the bright side, the 11- run performance marked the Huskies' highest-scoring game to date.

Jacob Gregg made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ethan Holtz, who went 1-for-4 with two runs.

North Star hit Glendale with a five-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings lost 11-0 to the Cougars.

Bishop Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Glendale, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Bishop Carroll skirted past Glendale 8-6 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
