Football Recap: Seneca Valley Takes a Loss

Seneca Valley was the 26-6 winner over Norwin when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders were beaten by the Knights 56-13 on Friday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tristyn Tavares continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Norwin, rushing for 101 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, while also throwing for 88 yards and three touchdowns. Those three passing touchdowns gave Tavares a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Giovanni Rothrauff, who rushed for 130 yards and one score.

Seneca Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Norwin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Seneca Valley will square off against Moon Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Norwin, they will challenge North Allegheny at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
