Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, New Ulm couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 82-69 to the Marshall Tigers on Tuesday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

New Ulm's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Marshall, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 28-1.
