South Fremont is 8-2 against Teton since April of 1924 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, South Fremont turned things around against Snake River on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since May 17, 2024.

Cy Hill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up eight Ks. South Fremont is 2-1 when Hill allows two or fewer earned runs, but 6-10 otherwise.
At the plate, South Fremont saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Hammond, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Teton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out American Falls 8-7.
James Borg made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Nelson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Slade Kunz, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Teton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
South Fremont's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Teton, their win bumped their record up to 2-10.
South Fremont couldn't quite get it done against Teton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
