Basketball Recap: D.C. Everest Takes a Loss

D.C. Everest lost against Eau Claire Memorial back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The D.C. Everest Evergreens lost 74-48 to the Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes. While losing is never fun, the Evergreens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Old Abes are ranked 15th).

D.C. Everest's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Eau Claire Memorial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

D.C. Everest has already played their next contest (against Merrill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Eau Claire Memorial will take on Menomonie at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Eau Claire Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
