Volleyball Recap: Dacula Takes a Loss

Dacula lost against Oglethorpe County last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Dacula was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23.

Miriam Gilmour paced Dacula's offense, picking up five kills. Gilmour got some help from Elena Pucciano and her 11 assists. Adelyne Yang controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Dacula's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Oglethorpe County, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Dacula will venture away from home to face off against Seckinger at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oglethorpe County, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Morgan County on the 14th.
