Soccer Recap: Auburn Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Auburn was not quite Glenvar's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They came up short against the Highlanders, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Auburn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Glenvar are ranked sixth).

Auburn's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-3. As for Glenvar, the win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Auburn will head out on the road to challenge Giles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenvar, they will be playing at home against Floyd County at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
