For the first time this season, Union will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Skyview Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Union 4, Skyview 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Union lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lake Washington, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Titans blew past the Kangaroos 13-2 on Saturday. The Titans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Jacob Chandler made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Chandler was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Parker Christian was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Gunner Brungardt, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Skyview won against Overlake on Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Storm beat Kamiak by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Storm, who have now won three contests in a row.
Skyview's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Union, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Union skirted past Skyview 1-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Storm have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
