Basketball Recap: West Point's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak at Home

West Point lost against Russellville last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The West Point Warriors fell just short of the Russellville Golden Tigers by a score of 68-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

EJ King continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Russellville, putting up 33 points. That makes it ten consecutive games in which King has scored at least a third of Russellville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malaki Groce, who posted 13 points.

West Point's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6. As for Russellville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

West Point has already played their next match, a 53-50 defeat against Holly Pond on the 24th. As for Russellville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 92-86 win against Hamilton on the 18th.
