Baseball Recap: Geneseo Takes a Loss

Geneseo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasant Plains Cardinals.

Geneseo's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Pleasant Plains, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3.

Looking ahead, Geneseo will take on Routt Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Maple Leafs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Pleasant Plains, they are taking a road trip to challenge St. Joseph-Ogden at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
