While Abingdon/Avon's victory against Princeville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tornadoes had just enough and edged out the Princes 6-5. The Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Princes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Avery Stegall was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cheznie Engle, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Abingdon/Avon's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Princeville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Abingdon/Avon will square off against Knoxville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Bullets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.13 runs per game on average), something the Tornadoes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Princeville, they will challenge Stark County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
