Football Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

After soaring to 40 points the game before, Springfield was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 44-6 defeat at the hands of the Rootstown Rovers. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-0.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rootstown, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Minerva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rootstown, they will square off against Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
