Wasilla faced West Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Wolf Pack. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Wolf Pack: they've now won six in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Wasilla got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-7.

Wasilla now has a winning record of 4-3. As for West Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coincidentally, Wasilla and West Valley will both be playing Chugiak the next time they take the court. The Wolf Pack will head out to face the Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
