Baseball Game Preview: Hillsboro Hawks vs. Perryville Pirates

For the second straight game, Hillsboro will face off against Perryville. The Hawks will welcome the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

If Hillsboro beats Perryville with ten runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Pirates on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

Easton Day made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
