It's playoff time, and Lehi had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Herriman Mustangs on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-3. For the Pioneers, this counts as revenge for the 9-5 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Abbi Harroun spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Piper Emery was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Camry Wassmer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lehi has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Herriman, their loss dropped their record down to 20-12.

As of now, neither Lehi nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
