Basketball Recap: Corsicana Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Corsicana came into Friday's game having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 56-50 victory over the Ennis Lions on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Corsicana's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-16. As for Ennis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corsicana will venture away from home to face off against Crandall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Corsicana has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ennis, they will square off against Kaufman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kaufman has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three matchups.
