Softball Recap: Rittman Takes a Loss

After flying high against Crestline last Thursday, Rittman came back down to earth. The Indians fell just short of the Chippewa Chipps by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday. Even though they lost, the Indians' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Carly Frame made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Cloee Senz also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Rittman dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Chippewa, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Chipps beat Rittman by a score of 9-2 on Thursday.
