Soccer Recap: Irvin Takes a Loss

After flying high against Harmony Science Academy last Wednesday, Irvin came back down to earth. The Irvin Rockets came up short against the San Elizario Eagles on Friday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 519th, while the Eagles are ranked 125th).

Irvin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for San Elizario, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0-2.

When Irvin and San Elizario next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Irvin will challenge Riverside and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, San Elizario will try to stop Bowie's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
