Basketball Recap: Logan White's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Weeki Wachee over Nature Coast Tech

Weeki Wachee played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 81-57 to the Nature Coast Tech Sharks. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan White, who posted 16 points and six rebounds. White's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Parent, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points.

Weeki Wachee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Nature Coast Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Weeki Wachee will host Pasco at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pasco knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Weeki Wachee likes a good challenge. As for Nature Coast Tech, they will head out to square off against Springstead at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Springstead is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.
