 The Temecula Valley Golden Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Great Oak Wolfpack at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Temecula Valley: 3.6, Great Oak: 3.4) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 On Saturday, Temecula Valley came up short against Poly  and fell  7-3.
 Temecula Valley got a good showing from  Chase Hilt, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also didn't allow any  walks). Hilt has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  a single  hit in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Temecula Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ryan Recio, who  went 1-for-2 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Marc Guzman, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Great Oak came into Thursday's   contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with  a   7-2  victory over Chaparral  on Thursday.
  Logan Washizaki was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Temecula Valley dropped their record down to 12-7-1 with that  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Great Oak, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Monday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Temecula Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 6.8  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Great Oak struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Temecula Valley took their  victory against Great Oak  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  9-0. Does  Temecula Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Great Oak turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
