Basketball Preview: Pennington Red Raiders vs. Shipley
The Pennington Red Raiders will look to defend their home court on Monday against Shipley at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Pennington stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Division 66-42.
Meanwhile, Shipley ended up a good deal behind the on Thursday and lost 75-57.
Despite the loss, Shipley got a solid performance out of Will Littles, Jr, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Littles, Jr has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Matt Lange, who scored 14 points.
Pennington has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Shipley, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
