Volleyball Game Preview: Laguna Beach Breakers vs. Portola Bulldogs

The Laguna Beach Breakers will venture away from home to take on the Portola Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Laguna Beach came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Woodbridge, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Portola made easy work of University on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Portola might've won, it sure wasn't easy: University scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-22.

Portola is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Laguna Beach has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Laguna Beach couldn't quite get it done against Portola in their previous matchup on March 4th as they fell 3-1. Can Laguna Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
